The camera on the Brava is such a wonderful feature of the Brava. It gives you the ability to view your cooks in real-time on your Brava Home mobile application and also on your Brava. Though rare, your Camera may stop transmitting the video to the screen on the Brava while it is cooking. However, do not worry!
If you need instructions for connecting your Brava Home mobile application to your Brava to watch your cooks live to refer to this article and follow the reset instructions: Connecting Your Brava to the Brava Application
Follow the steps below and you should be able to get your Brava camera to start working again.
A power cycle of the Brava almost always resolves this issue (you may have to do this at least once and up to 3 times).
- Safely pull the power plug out of the wall
- Wait 30 seconds
- Safely plug the Brava back into the wall and wait for it to reboot
- When the Brava is fully on, test the camera by running a "reheat" for about 30 seconds (ensure that the Brava cooking chamber is empty).
Sometimes the Camera Image is Dim
Another thing to keep in mind is that during some cooks, it may appear as if the camera is not working, but it may just be that the inside of the cooking chamber is dim. Some of the cook programs are designed to only power the lamps up partially to cook the food perfectly. In those cases, the light emitted may not be enough to light up the entire chamber.
