Brava is designed to make cooking easy and precise. Below are some tips that will help you adjust to cooking with a brava in your kitchen.
Independent Cooking Zones
- Brava has three independent cooking zones.
- Recipes will instruct you where to place food within 1-3 zones.
- Take some time to familiarize yourself with the Brava metal tray, you can feel the brava tray has zones marked by raised numbers on the left-hand side.
- Zone 1 is closest to you on the tray, Zone 2 is the middle zone, and Zone 3 is in the back. As you feel around the edges of the tray you will notice small raised notches- these marks help outline each of the 3-zone borders.
How to Place Ingredients on a Brava Tray
- When using a single zone, pack food tightly to ensure even cooking.
- If food spills only slightly into another zone past the raised notches on the edges of the metal tray, it’s better to keep it in one zone than to spread it across two.
Proteins and Temperature Sensor
- You don’t need to let proteins rest at room temperature before cooking. Brava recipes are designed for cold proteins straight from the fridge.
- When using the temperature sensor, insert it horizontally into the thickest part of the protein, ensuring the probe is fully inserted for accurate temperature readings.
